I saw The Band, Edgar Winter and White Heat, and Lee Michaels in an outdoors football stadium around 1972. Sat on the muddy ground in the rain, stoned on pot. Awesome.

the Band may have been a better indoor band, for all the acoustic instruments they played, but I saw them twice, once in Cincy and again in Chicago’s Arie Crown….they were very good both times….even then I was more into music than drugs…I always made sure to maximize the adventure….I was always the Captain, but I got plenty buzzed bro
