I think the better question I have is who the Republicans will nominate for president and vice president. They seem to be going young with VP while going fairly old for president. Perhaps this time, they nominate someone fairly young but an elder statesman type for VP. I’m not really seeing Rubio as their guy. I’m trying to think of someone who could win two of Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina in the early primaries. Someone with big business and so con appeal which I suppose Rubio has because but I think he’ll become unpopular if his opponents make a big hay out of his stances on immigration. I mean we saw what happened to Perry when Perry took a somewhat reasonable stance on immigration. Granted Rubio seems to be smarter than Perry but I just don’t see Rubio being it. Maybe Jindal?
