Austria’s one of those countries that requires asylum requests to be made in person on sovereign soil. Wonder if that’s Snowden’s plan, either get to Bolivia or have the plane brought down in a country that he can immediately beg for asylum in.

Maybe but I think his escape plan unraveled once he got to Moscow. If the flight is being diverted with him on it I doubt he’s happy about it.
