Jewish Virtual Library doesn’t suggest a decline at any point following the Holocaust ended based on their demographics data.

That said, one possibility is the growth of the Orthodox communities with large families while other Jewish communities have seen much smaller growth or declines.

BTW, WaPo debunked that story back in 2015 - including the same graphic.
