If this country split along conservative/liberal lines, the first order of business for the new conservative nation will be to declare war on the new liberal nation.

Their political beliefs require an enemy.

Which is why I would start to break up massive military bases like Ft. Hood right now and distribute the assets and personnel across the US territory, especially into blue states.

It never ceases to amaze me how dependent entire regions are so dependent on massive government spending like the areas surrounding Ft. Hood are yet the population is so gung-ho in denial about Socialism.
