Yes, they do help, but they have limitations. You need to start hours ahead of time, so they aren’t for the casual 2 hour trip, and they reduce but don’t eliminate the feeling of motion. Also, you need a prescription, so they’re probably great for something like a cruise, but not for ‘everyday’ situations.

Edit: In my case motion results in a feeling of falling and being unable to reduce or change the motion leads to panic attacks, so it is a bit more complex than most people’s motion issues.

How does driving in a car affect you? Does being in control (driving rather than riding) make any difference? That would sure be a difficult syndrome!
