Well, in terms of ideology, legislative goals, nominations, etc. it’s hard to see where a President Pence might do worse than Trump: at least, Mike Dense might not want to make the whole Administration over into an ass-kissing personality cult (that paucity of “personality” would be a main factor): at least with a Democratic Congress (or at least a Senate Majority - even if slim) there’s a chance that some of the worst executive/judicial nominees might get rejected. Though, as has been repeatedly pointed out: Trump has already done a great of damage: which, unfortunately, will probably require a Democratic President to put right.

And btw, as for impeachment: barring the revelation of some truly heinous wrongdoing on The Donald’s part (and not even then, I’m afraid) - I think it’s a wishful-thinking fantasy to imagine that, in 2018 (?), enough Senate Republicans would be willing to risk their careers donations to vote out the Moron-In-Chief. But who knows…..

PS: I noticed VB hasn’t posted in an hour: hopefully she’s on her way to (or better yet, at) an ER to get that finger seen to. My advice (“go and go NOW!!!”) would have been based on experience: I once had a kitchen-based wouldn’t-stop-bleeding finger injury: the ER doc was able to sew it up so as to heal properly: always best to leave these things to someone who knows what they’re doing.
