I learned this shit in American History classes FFS. You know, if we can get this mess cleaned up enough, I would have no problem at all raising the bar for high school especially, but all grades. I’m not exactly ancient, but it seems like about the time I graduated (1978), the standards went to shit.

I also graduated the same year. My guess would be things started going downhill when Ronald Reagan was elected in 1980. My sister graduated then and went through the same sorts of courses I did.
