It’s not just Washington. Schools and colleges have used various Indian related names forever. The Stanford team used to be the Indians, but switched to Cardinals (weirdly out of place in the West) a number of years ago.

Anyway, I need to go get some things done. I’ll BBL after a quiet time spent dreaming of a non-discriminatory world with rainbow-farting unicorns.

I know. Anyhow, I think for those the team name and logo matter. The Cleveland Indians name doesn’t bother me so much as the Chief Wahoo which they thankfully did get rid of.
