It’s the Frank Luntz approach — control the message through dishonest characterization and you win the argument with the public. Democrats have to fight back with similar weapons. We can’t allow them to persuade people that it’s too expensive to save life on the planet.

Well, I’d start by going after the Religious Right and ask how they can ignore such a basic need as protecting what God created?

And then on a political level I’d roll out my favorite the Preamble to the US Constitution.

We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

What is more important to the people of this country to promote the general welfare and secure the blessings of liberty than to breath and live.
