I’m going to leave this here since I’m about to start work. But the man is clearly uncomfortable with his sexuality. He could be straight, he could be closeted. My point is if he were secure with himself, he wouldn’t make this an issue. It’s not normal.

It is normal and almost always has been in this country. Until the Seventies the American Psychiatric Association classified it as a mental disorder. It was criminalised throughout most of the country throughout the nation’s history. It is as American as apple pie and racism.
