Make news a public service that networks have to offer in order to get licenses, and restore the Fairness Doctrine.

Things started to go to shit in the States when news became a profit centre and the Doctrine was eliminated.

If the authoritarians and barbarians had been limited to direct mail (the only media delivery method not covered by the Doctrine) America’s problems wouldn’t be nearly as bad as they are.
