You’re totally correct on the time it takes to get larger number of docs educated and into the system. Yes there could be a short term crunch as the system adjusts to the new reality. That shouldn’t be a reason not to do it or used as some sort of excuse not to get coverage to millions of people who either don’t now or have sparse coverage. As long as there is some sort of plan of action to deal with the issue and deal with the adjustment. Long term, once the adjustment occurs the nation will be better off overall with more doctors per capita and more people with at least a basic standard of healthcare. I think this is part of the point of this exercise.
