The U.N. Arms Trade Treaty has zero chance of passing, hell they wouldn’t even pass the disabilities treaty. Never mind that the treaty has nothing to do with gun sales or ownership within the United States, only international sales. The wingnuts will keep spinning lies and convincing their supporters that it is a threat to the 2nd Amendment. Then when it goes down in flames they can declare victory and brag to all their mouth-breathing followers about how they “saved” the 2nd Amendment from extinction.

The Disabilities Treaty may pass someday in a less contentious time. The small arms treaty will never pass the US Senate. The people of the United States are simply too leery of the UN for it to pass.
