Between the big money Republicans doing a deal on immigration in the face of xenophobic tea partiers, and national level Republicans openly pushing for Gay Rights, I wonder how long it will be before the religious right foot soldiers officially abandon the GOP, or officially kick out the “RINO”s?

None of this will come to pass. The “moderates” are too spineless to leave the party, mostly out of Stockholm Syndrome. Look at the last election, and some of the supposedly moderate Republicans here.

They went right ahead and voted GOP anyway, despite the obvious anti-woman, bigoted, torpedo-the-budget-to-screw-Obama bent the Republicans have taken. And then when they’re pressed on it, they either shrug their shoulders or refuse to say who they voted for.
