Seems like an awful lot.

Consider that on a single runway at a major American airport, a flight either leaves or arrives every 2-3 minutes. That’s pretty much the limit for heavy airplanes, because the swirling air from the previous flight has to have time to dissipate before the next flight is cleared to land or take off.
