You’ll notice that most of the same arguments crop up among wingnuts: “If only Goodell had done something about Kaepernick, this wouldn’t have happened!”

That’s Southern plantation thinking, the idea that you gotta deal with an “uppity” slave quickly before the others see what he’s doing and “get ideas.”

And the “But look how much money these ungrateful players make!” mentality.
