So in smaller news, Annapolis, MD had elections yesterday too, including a mayoral race in which Democrat Gavin Buckley defeated incumbent Republican Mike Pantelides by an unofficial margin of 62%-37% as of 10 p.m. last night, four years after Pantelides won in an upset by a margin of about 50 votes. Even though Annapolis is reliably Democratic, this seems to be a big deal, as Mike Pantelides wasn’t a Trumpublican by any means. This is just more evidence that Democrats are pissed at what Trump is doing to this country and are taking it out on anyone with an R next to their name. Governor Hogan’s job (he’s a Republican) might be in jeopardy next year despite the fact that he isn’t a Trumpublican himself, especially after he campaigned for Ed Gillespie in VA, which the uber liberal D.C. suburbs might hold against him.

Hadn’t realized there was an election in my own state last night. Good job. Sorry to hear Hogan campaigned for Gillespie. But given Hogan’s snub of Trump, Maryland’s GOP would probably have run someone against Hogan in the primary.
