Think Progress claims to have a memo, given to it by an employee, showing why FedEx isn’t willing to reverse their decision to give discounts to NRA members. The short of it goes like this. The USPS rarely ships guns. UPS requires them to be shipped overnight, so they’re not in their system very long. FedEx claims they do the same thing, but, according to the memo, they offer two or three day shipping to certain groups. It makes shipping cheaper, which means they’re getting more shipping traffic.
