I see that various news outlets are stumbling over themselves trying to describe Oklahoma’s new death-sentence method of execution.

Mostly, “nitrogen” is not being described as easily as it could be.

I guess story writers don’t want to mention that about 78% of the air you breathe is Nitrogen.

Anyway, it’s fairly simple to remove oxygen from some air from our atmosphere, and you’re left with mostly nitrogen and a bit of argon.

So yes, Oklahoma plans to suffocate its prisoners.
