I know people are pis$ed off that the last two seasons were crammed short and plot development was missed.

But GoT also spent six seasons sometimes going off in all kinds of weird directions, with untold number of islands and nations and rascally leaders getting inserted in to the story that ultimately didn’t do much for the overall arc of the story (Dorne?).

So I think I’m kind of OK them ending the way they did.

Of course, some of the fun of the series was exactly this meandering around, and different characters, and wondering where it was all going and how all the pieces fit together and wondering the background of all these different niche societies.
