Yeah, I learned about the “Triangular Trade” in grade school in NJ. Probably a bit of Woodrow Wilson’s rampant racism that he put into the public school curriculum there and stuck around for decades.

I also learned about triangle trade in school. Only because that’s what it was — gins, slaves, rum — and it was always clear that one leg of the three was slaves.
