I believe that Historians will see 9/11 as our high-water mark. We did not start going down hill immediately, but we have been at best stable (under Obama) and at worst regressive (under Trump) ever since.

The 21st Century has certainly be turbulent. The defeat of Trump’s hand picked election stealers in the Georgia GOP primaries has given me some hope that we may be able to navigate through the 2024 elections and emerge with our democracy battered but intact and a chance to build a better future.
