I’ve never heard of a lynch mob that did independent investigations. Meanwhile chanting lock her up! lock her up! is more lynch mob mentality. But I wouldn’t compare either to actual lynching.

THAT’S DIFFERENT!!!

Though, to be fair, promising to lock someone up without evidence, or even an actual identified violation of the law is a lot like lynching.
