the Egyptian geese are back on the Rhine, they are an invasive species and as such not protected. Lots of goose on the menu at local restaurants…

New York handled geese wrong, as we do many things.

After the Miracle on the Hudson, it was noted that we had way too many geese and needed to reduce their population. Fair enough. But they used poison to get rid of them, turning them into trash.

DC did much better when the deer in Rock Creek Park got too numerous; they had military snipers shoot a few hundred of them, then they were butchered and sent to food banks.
