It’s 3 wars and the Iraq/Afghan wars are costing us roughly $104 Billion a year. That’s chump change compared to the $1.56T annual budget deficit.

IIRC, the defense budget for this year alone, including Iraq & Afghanistan, is on the order of $650 billion, with the only “cuts” being basically some shuffling of the deck chairs on the Titanic, moving money from one end to the other and claiming money has been saved. And that’s not even including what we’re gonna end up spending in Libya.
