I take his word because, at this point, that’s all there is. Without it, I’m left with speculation, and that’s not something upon which to convict a man for Murder 2 and possibly put him behind bars for life.
But his word is all there is because…he shot the other guy dead. So I just feel like I’m only getting half the story as far as firsthand accounts. And I don’t trust a guy who lies about his finances and pursues non-suspects (I think you’d agree there was no reason to follow Trayvon—even Zim can’t provide a good one) due to a need to prove his manliness or pseudo-cop skills.
