The NRA whips up their base by preaching that the basis for the 2nd Amendment was to fight tyranny, but they never define what is meant by tyranny. So to the gun nuts, the term tyranny refers to anything about the government that they don’t like.

As the GOP agenda keeps lurching further out into the weeds, they will lose more elections and the ability to control legislation. When that happens I’m sure they’ll blame their election losses on “tyranny” instead of blaming their own extremism and incompetence.
