I find it hard to believe in TX that a socially liberal person could vote with the TX GOP as the social issues are so central to the discussion but in reality, people vote with their particular issues in mind.

Voting GOP in Texas, irrespective of how it personally affects you, is innate….it’s part of their lifestyle, part of their genetic code. For real. They are born into Republican families and don’t know any better. The Democratic Party is considered effeminate while the GOP is machismo.
