How can their minds ever be changed? They have to invest so heavily in their thinking, to change would be to admit they have really screwed up views and values.

And they won’t admit anything, so they will never let go of their thinking. All they can do is dig in deeper and create bigger reasons to need to change and/or cast out ‘others’.

There’s a small minority that far gone. More of the RW can be brought back, and we better work on it or we’ll start killing each other at accelerating rates.
