Just got another reason to actually spend time and delete my account with them.*

This turned up in my email this morning with the following headline:

The Big Lie: 5.6% Unemployment

The article is the standard U3 vs U6 employment rate comparison stuff. And it talks about a “good job” being one with 30+ hours/week and a regular paycheck. And then goes from there to castigate the White House about talking about 5.6% unemployment when there are lots of people not looking for work, underemployed, etc. etc.

Gee, maybe look or mention how Walmart and a lot of other companies use part-time workers, low wages, etc. to depress things. Nope. OBAMA’S FAULT.

And if LinkedIN is going to lead with this crap I don’t want it in my inbox.

* - I have not logged onto LinkedIn’s site since before they did their IPO. I did some initial set-up there 4+ years ago. Then I did a password reset and they screwed it up. A second password reset still did not fix the issue. An email to their site support did not earn a reply. So I decided that if a site couldn’t handle their access security in a timely manner then I wanted nothing more to do with it. That they did an IPO and essentially sold all their collected information for profit did nothing much to make me want to renew ties either.
