Not just Merrick Garland, but a whole bunch of Federal judgeships as well. The GOP may not have planned all that with the idea they would win, but it certainly worked in their favour.

Moreover, with the filibuster gone for Federal judgeships, it would seem likely that would now be difficult to stop, except for the blue slip question for senators (watch that get blown out of the water if the Democrats try to use it).

As for filibustering Supreme Court nominees, I would not be surprised if the filibuster goes away for those as well.

Of course. Cotton who literally blocked an ill Obama nominee for personal reasons is bitching about how poor Mike Pompeo is being treated.
