For a couple of years, on either side of getting drafted, I worked in the photo studio (catlog house) that made about half of the Sears catalog and a good bit of the catalogs for Wards, JC Penney, and Easton. We shot as large as 16x20 film stock, 8x10 in the Deardorfs was normal. Interesting times. The boss was a self-made millionaire with personal characteristics much like Trump. In fact they both belonged to the same country club (Winged Foot).

I’d love to get my hands on an 8x10 Deardorf but I doubt my landscapes would make me even as much as your stock photography did :D

But 8x10 makes some hella beautiful contact prints.
