re: #144 lawhawk

Cuomo’s likely to win by 30-40 points in today’s primary. Nixon’s critiques have merit, particularly around transit and housing issues, and Cuomo has pivoted on some of the issues, coopting Nixon’s positions (he’s a craven opportunist - and the parallels between his personality and that of Christie can’t be understated).

Lawhawk, what’s your take on the state AG race? All of the candidates seem to have pretty good strengths. I’m partial to the argument the NYT made (in endorsing Zephyr Teachout) that Maloney is better served by staying in Congress, and that Teachout’s independence will matter a lot in the AG role. I wish we could keep our current interim AG, Barbara Underwood. She’s fantastic - but she got the appointment to replace Eric Schneiderman based on a promise she wouldn’t run to keep the seat.
