I’ve been overseas twice since he won. I have not talked to a foreigner that had good words to say about him. I still chuckle about these two young women from Canada I met, “Oh thank goodness you didn’t vote for him because we didn’t think we could like you if you voted for him.”

When I was in Rome earlier this fall, it just never came up. When a tour guide would ask us where we were from, we’d just kinda look at each other and stammer quietly, “Uhhh… United States…” and then go on as if nothing happened. I think the fact that we didn’t act like the typical loud-mouthed, obnoxious asshole Trump-humper may have helped.
