This is not EMAILS… this is a 314 page narrative by the CRU programer Ian Harris and the notes he made as he went though years and years of live legacy program code and was finding error after error.

This is his diary of the work he did and the problems he found, problems he found with LIVE LEGACY PROGRAMS AND DATA.


To what degree did it affect the end results, though? Which data? Temp? Precip? Other? What year/years? What region? How much of the data? 3 stations vs. 4000 on the whole globe? The whole globe? A little bit of it? Some of it? Alot of it? None of it? I can’t tell, can you? How different did the graph look with it corrected vs. incorrect. And exactly which graph of what data are we talking about? Published, not published, internal for modeling experiments, what’s it for? Without quantification of some sort, there are no conclusions to be made.
