I would wonder if the intel from the capture a few days ago led to this. And that the Taliban did not have that good of a cell structure in place to prevent interrogation results from being applied effectively.

One could also surmise whether or not one or more of these men were turned via a hefty bribe and/or offer of amnesty. They give up a bunch of info, and then get swept up as well to act as cover for their turncoat activities.
