Factcheck’s article there is fucking horrible, actually.

Saying that the Democrats proposed slashing something when they were doing it in order to make deals with the GOP is silly.

They also mix up the tenses— they accuse Obama of saying that women benefit from the fund, whereas what he actually said:

Women, in particular, will benefit from this Prevention Fund, which would provide for hundreds of thousands of screenings for breast and cervical cancer.

And this is true, as Factcheck acknowledges.

I have no idea how Factcheck, looking at the unprecedented wave of laws against abortion, the opposition to the fair pay for women act, etc. etc. can be blind to the GOP’s agenda on women.

I guess it’s just more of the stupidity of believing the truth must be somewhere in the middle.
