But his word is all there is because…he shot the other guy dead. So I just feel like I’m only getting half the story as far as firsthand accounts. And I don’t trust a guy who lies about his finances and pursues non-suspects (I think you’d agree there was no reason to follow Trayvon—even Zim can’t provide a good one) due to a need to prove his manliness or pseudo-cop skills.
What I personally think of him is legally irrelevant, even if I agree with the lead homicide investigator that he’s got a hero complex. The man may be an asshole, he may be a dipshit, he may even be a piss-poor liar. But so long as the prosecution can’t prove their case, none of that matters.
