He had just just left a charity event for his foundation as a passenger with his friend who was driving a 2005 Porsche Carrera.

Police said they found tire “burnout” tracks on the roadway including those made by a car doing more than one “Figure eight” power drift skid. The police stopped short of saying that the skid and burnout marks conclusively came from the Porsche but you kinda have to assume that they did.

Footage from the scene does show the utterly fragmented and crumpled remains of about half or two-thirds of the car wrapped around an implausibly small tree that is perhaps only 5 or 6 inches in diameter. However it also shows that an aluminum light pole was also knocked down before the car struck the tree.

The accident scene was only about 300 yards from the main entrance of the foundation charity event that Walker had just left. :(

Sounds like he forgot the difference between movie magic and real life.
