I don’t really agree. We wouldn’t be talking about blocking refugees, building a wall, gutting education, gutting civil rights, or gutting health care. Democrats would be fighting over whether it’s a good idea to end TPP.

We would certainly be talking about gutting healthcare, the difference is that we’d be talking about a single-payer alternative that would never find the votes in Congress. And we’d not just be watching him withdraw us from TPP, but also talking about the need to “renegotiate” NAFTA and similar trade agreements or just withdraw from them entirely. He wouldn’t be provoking war with China, but he would be hitting many of the same notes about the need to “confront” them. I watched Bernie on the campaign trail, much of the same protectionist, “America First” mentality motivated his supporters. The difference was the intended endpoint and how we got there.
