re: #130 Quoth the raven, Covfefe.

See, to a conservative who grew up with wingnut parents, “exotic” is anything outside of chicken, pork, hamburgers, or steak. Alternate preparations of beef, lamb, other meats, spices outside of traditional KC or Memphis barbecue sauce - what is this sorcery? I had Americanized Tex-Mex on occasion, and that’s about it. Thank God I moved to the Twin Cities area, which opened my mouth to real ethnic cuisine.

Growing up in a portuguese household we ate lots of things regularly that a lot of people would consider exotic. Things like goat, octopus and rabbit. Rabbit is the one that really surprises me you don’t see more. My mom made rabbit stew at least once every week or two. It is something you rarely see on restaurant menus, but they are easy to raise and it is almost like nature designed them to be eaten by other critters.
