Th guy rapping in the car is named Patrice Wilson, a music producer with a company called Ark Music (or something like that). Wilson would snag kids with budget money and write them songs and produce videos for them.

While ‘Friday’ was pretty vapid, the followup from Ark made it sounds like Beethoven’s Fifth.
