Right, which is perfectly in keeping with Sara’s cynical willingness to thrust this hateful, racist, mentally ill person back into the national consciousness all because it was profitable. In a lot of ways I see Sara as worse, because she absolutely does know better and all of this was imminently predictable but Sara’s greed and ego led her to value herself more than the harm she was obviously condoning.

I dunno. Sara Gilbert kind of grew up on the original show, and probably sees Roseanne as almost like a family member, like a racist grandmother.

And a meal ticket, obviously.

It’s part of white privilege to be able to overlook racism in people you’re close to, because it’s not directed at you.
