Whatever the real numbers are, it stretches credulity that China somehow during the whole course of the epidemic has experienced only 222,130 cases, as worldometer reports. That may be the official number — but there is no way that number is close to accurate. Even the higher Johns Hopkins figure of 2,364,674 is absurdly low.
