Yeah, I get the why.

I actually haven’t had any drops under the car that I’ve seen at all. There is definitely a leak (I can smell hot oil after I’ve driven it for a bit) but it’s not major.

I just need to deal with it. Which means setting aside time to deal with it too. Blargh.

Time for metrics: How much oil is actually missing every 500 miles? Anything much less than a quart just calls for vigilance.
