One of my favorite segments of Justice League from the 90’s was in an episode where Superman beats Darkseid. Superman throws him down off the pillar they were on and tells the people on Apokolips they are free. Instead of cheering, the pick up Darkseid and carry him to his abode. As he’s leaving, he tells Superman that he is their god.

And the Kims have a virtual godlike status with their people. If anyone is going to take out Kim, it will be his generals.
