Pseudo-political science rant from a ski bum who’s been described as “smarter than your average dumbass.”

I got to thinking about the Democratic Party when I heard on NPR this morning on my way to work that Kamala Harris was running for President. I thought ‘what a great political party, Democrats are effing diverse!’ And it brought me back to Barack Obama, a man I never voted for. He has done so much, so much, to make the Democratic Party an inclusive place with good ideas to make human lives better. The politics between him and his defeated opponent/Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was contentious but was also beautiful, in that it was truly an exchange of ideas through logic and debate, like our Founding Fathers envisioned how the country should be ran. As time goes by, I admire Obama more and more, his time in politics in large part made me a Democrat. Clinton’s campaign in 2016 was the other large part of me becoming a Democrat after 18 years of being an Independent. Obama though, through meticulous work and the persistence of time, made the Democratic Party what it is today. He’ll be remembered more than Fuckface Von Clownstick in 50 years.
