On the Supreme Court decision allowing Christians to commit genocide, the show Atheist Experience dealt with a caller last week who insisted churches must be allowed to remain open during an epidemic.

When directly challenged on spreading disease to other people who did not choose to become ill from Christian selfishness, the caller hangs up.

When directly challenged, such people can only change their position, or defend genocide.

Since a Christian cannot do the first (they must reason themselves out of faith), and cannot admit they are fine with genocide, they can only quit the discussion and take their apologetics to a different person and make the same argument (churches must be allowed to remain open during an epidemic).

Churches intentionally set up their adherents to fail on purpose. Apologetics is a difficult field for a well-educated person. Arguments set up by some rando are easy to tear apart (so you support genocide, cool). The goal is to have that person come back to their church talking about how mean and evil the non-believers are, so they are love-bombed with โ€œJesus loves youโ€ and such.

The goal of churches sending out untrained believers to evangelise is to keep their believers in the pews, not to convert anyone.
