Manchin and Sinema are helping Mitch get what he wants, which is reconciliation taken off the table for the remainder of the fiscal year (i.e. from now to next October) so that all talk of the reconciliation bill will be scuppered and they can move on to more “bipartisan” bills.

And in return the House Progressive Caucus will vote to kill the skinny infrastructure bill so nothing will come of that.
